Since then, ENERGY STAR initiatives have helped families and businesses reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2.8 billion metric tons and save $430 billion on energy bills by adopting energy-efficient lighting, appliances, HVAC systems and building technologies.

A new program in the spirit of ENERGY STAR is focusing attention on the energy-savings potential of window treatments, especially when they are automated and connected to a smart home platform.
